It's hard to believe that it's August already and Damien is a month old! I can't believe how fast it went. Seemed like the past 2 weeks were extremely slow having ol MIL here but I guess it cruised right by!
Weighed Damien yesterday.... 11 lbs! Yikes! I figured he was 12 with how large he is. The guy is so extremely long it's insane. My mom and I guess Damien and Dominic will be wearing the same size clothes in a few years at this rate. He's already wearing 3-6 mths. This little Carter's outfit in this picture is 3-6 mths even.
I couldn't ask for a better baby although he wants to be held all the time if he's not asleep. I hope this ends soon because I'm not sure I can handle day after day carrying him in the Snugli. He absolutely loves that thing. I can't believe how much better breastfeeding is going with him now too. I can actually get him to latch and drink away unlike before he would scream and claw my boob to death. For the first 2-3 weeks I pretty much fed him expressed milk in bottles because it was too hard for the both of us breastfeeding but now he does it like a champ! I suggest if breastfeeding doesn't work out because of one reason or another keep trying even as they get older if you are pumping and still have the milk.
On another note, breastfeeding is not helping me lose anymore weight. I'm down to 178 which is 2 lbs less than what I weighed when I found out I was pregnant. (sigh) I was hoping for a dramatic weightloss from breastfeeding. lol Guess I won't get that lucky.
