34 Weeks

Yesterday morning Mia and I ventured out about 8:30 to go shopping at Target and Walmart. (Man I love this shopping with one kid gig!) I actually was going to buy a few things in order to prepare for Gabriella's arrival. Sadly this was the first time I have bought anything for her! Poor kid! We found a cute little coming home outfit, a container for all my Avon stuff so I can get that moved for her bassinet to go in our room, some newborn diapers until I figure out what to order in cloth for a newborn and some baby shampoo. We decided to mosey our way back to the school supplies (which I am eagerly waiting to go on sale for 75% off) but everything was still only 30% AND the area is now condensed in a small section because they are setting up for Halloween.

I felt my heart about beat out of my chest and my hands suddenly start to shake as soon as I laid eyes on the Halloween merchandise. It was a definite "holy crap!" moment. I am pregnant, there is something in there causing all that belly movement, and it...I mean SHE is coming out BEFORE Halloween arrives. I don't know why it hit me THEN that I am about to have another kid, I mean I WAS there buying things for a baby. After looking at costumes for a quick second, I got the hell out of there.

This morning I had my OB appointment. Mia did rather well for me thankfully. So far I've gained 11 lbs and my blood pressure is still in the 120's over 70's. I'm measuring 35 weeks. We talked about the pain I was feeling on the right side of my belly and she said if it happens again, call rather than lay it out like I have been. I told her it just comes and goes for no reason at all. I never had this pain with any of the others so we have no idea what it is. She however wants to "evaluate me" next time it happens, whatever that means. Unless she means "take her out early" I really don't feel like going in to the OB with every ache and pain. lol I really think she's just laying on nerves and then moves causing it to go away.

Did anyone else watch Sarah Palin's speech last night? What are your thoughts? Man she was vicious. Maybe I was deaf but watching the Democratic Convention, I don't think I heard that many mean blows about the Republicans. I thought Gulianni was being a down right meanie. lol

Sounds like a fun trip! Is funny how/when that hits us though...

We're about to start trying for number 2 & I've thought a lot about newborn cd's too. My husband wants to go to mainly BG's so that helps lol (cuts down a lot of the choices) just have to figure out how many more we'll need at that point.

Glad to hear your appointment went well.

Didn't watch the speech (forgot it was on) but everything I heard was that it went really well.

The appt seems to have gone well over all. We are both almost there momma! Yahoo!

I saw the speech. Wow, what an attack dog. It went well, but I'm still an Obama/Biden girl. :)

BTWm are you still posting on BBC? I have not been there in forever and I just found out they are all moving the boards.

I am absolutely in love with PAlin-- I think that I actually am inclined to vote this year-- before she stepped onto the scene I was not very excited about where things were going....
