The Goal

Was 6 months. I wanted to keep breastfeeding Sophie ATLEAST 6 months. It's hard to believe that I have gotten us to this goal but what is sad is that it took me 5 kids to get there. This has made me realize several things about myself. I am lazy. I have the time, I just didn't want to make time in the past. I didn't want to be consistant and gave up every time. The longest I did with any of them before this was 4 months with Damien. Wow. It's hard to admit those things as a mom but I know they are all true. I''m not going to be kicking myself for the past though. So now I've set 1 year as my next goal. I am thinking we can do it as long as I don't dry up with being pregnant however I feel like I've been a milking cow for so often now I should be able to keep going even while pregnant. lol

Good for you. I have never quit before a year. Kamden is 4 months, and personally I feel lazy because it is soooooo much easier for me to nurse. No bottles to make, wash, pack LOL. Once you get it down, life is sooo much easier nursing.

Good for you! Just think of it this way, if you keep going until the next one is born, you wont have a"breaking in" period, you'll still be at it! And I agree, I nurse because it's easier than bottles, at least for me!
