Saying NO to night comfort nursing!

I'm ready to take a stand before my child drives me to the grave. Sophia is keeping me up for hours every night for no reason. My husband thinks it's teething, however I'm pretty sure it's comfort nursing. As soon as I pull away she wakes up and starts crying. I try putting back in her bed in our room giving her a bottle and she'll drink some and start crying again. As long as I have her on my chest though, she's quiet and will drift off asleep. I pull away, she wakes right back up. It's terrible. I try getting away from her in bed and she shuffles over, claws, roots around and starts screaming then goes for her thumb for a few minutes before screaming some more.

So I have no idea how to curb it. Bottles are a 5 minute fix. It took about 4 hours until she finally gave up around 5:30 this morning and drifted off to sleep. I'm pooped!

Don't forget too that your milk will change as because of your pregnancy, in supply and taste. I remember Ellie telling me "that milk tastes yucky" when I was pregnant with Isaac. She weaned soon after that but she was nearly 2. :) She might be trying to bulk up at night because she is getting less at her normal feedings. Nursing while pregnant is HARD, hugs and blessings to you.
