Stalling

We still haven't listed our house up for sale yet. I thought as soon as we got back we'd get right on that but on our way to Colorado we heard some pretty bad news about our town. They announced that Eaton (they make airplane parts) will be closing it's plant in the next 12-18 months which employees 450 people. CVS was supposed to be opening a store here and taking over our Osco Drug but I think as soon as they heard THAT news they decided no way, so my Grandma is losing her job. She's been there since I was a kid! She needs to retire though, she's in her 60's and everyone is constantly bugging her about it. 450 people in this town, no job. I think the house market is about to go to SHIT. Not like it's too great anywhere really but I'm starting to wonder if anyone is going to be buying after hearing this news.

In other news, I still haven't planned Damien's party yet either. I'm not sure what we're going to do. I feel bad but it seems like as the 3rd kiddo, he really gets the shaft. I only had his pics done twice in a year, I haven't planned a party, he really didn't get much for Xmas because we have all the toys and clothes in the world. Plus I think everyone is getting tired of buying for our kids in my opinion! LOL I'm thinking about just ordering pizza and having it delivered to the house and only inviting some family. Jill probably won't show up since she's still mad about my remarks in April. She made up excuses not to come to Alex's and then didn't even send her a card for that matter. Whatever. I would hate to overwhelm Damien though as he has got to be the shyest little guy I've ever met. Anyone that says hi or acknowledges him at all he tries to hide in my chest. He really didn't like it in Colorado when everyone was trying to pick him up. He was my monkey boy firmly attached to my chest. LOL

Only two more days left of Dominic's summer school after today. I'm kinda dreading it, but I'm excited that I won't have to get up at 6:30 anymore!

You sound tired. Tired of everything! Sorry to hear about the job cuts in your town. I hope you are able to sell the house. I would not worry too much about D's birthday. The kids never remember their 1st birthday's anyway! They are more for the adults, and well, after having done it twice already, I understand why you are not eager to do it again! Good luck with everything!
