Here Comes The Crud

After our adventure at the Spookwalk the other day I noticed that we all came home with runny noses. At first I thought it was just the seasonal allergies thing but now my throat is a bit sore and Mia is just sneezing out loads of snot everytime I turn around and has the glassy sick eyes. Luckily the older two can grab a kleenex but the babies need alittle help and I've been suctioning out Mia's nose. Last night I had her sleep on a wedge pillow we have here since she was so congested. Though what they have now is minor, I'm alittle worried with all these children cold medicine recalls, what's going to happen this winter. Especially with the coughs. Sometimes their coughs scare the living crap out of me. The red face choking cough is the worst especially in the middle of the night. I'm all for homeopathic remedies but you can only do so much. I'm sure all the whole food/herbal stores will be sold out of Children's Echinacea this cold and flu season! So with 3 that are under the age of 6 for the "children's medicine's" I already know my Dr will get a few hundred phone calls as they get sick this winter.

I am worried about this too. I mean they've recalled Dimetapp, which is the best cough medicine. What do we do? We can't let them cough up a lung. I think there is going to be a lot of emergency room visits this winter. I hope things are going better.

ohh-- the crud has set up camp at our house-- I did not know about the infant cough medicine thing until I went to buy some... the pharmasist informed me. She suggested asking my doctor about a correct dosage of childrens cough medicine for him.

We have the crud too. I can't believe they have pulled all this stuff, and it comes down to people not reading the dosing instructions carefully, to be honest. Again, why do recalls for stupidity of others? My doc has already given me new dosage info for the kids with the different meds. Seriously, it was easier with the infant meds to get the right dose!

Rhonda- you're right! It's stupidity again! We need to just recall the parents! Ugh!

Wendy- I know I cringe when any of my little ones and sometimes it just scares me!

k- I need to call and ask my dr about the correct dosage. I didn't know we could do that! lol

Veronica- Having a new little one I'm sure you'll be having fun this winter! I hope she doesn't get sick!
