I am so, so screwed. I'm never going to be able to leave my house this pregnancy. It's going to be much like Mia's! My stomach is a DISASTER. I don't think I've ever said it on here and only a select few know in real life but since I had my gallbladder removed due to the Pancreatitis I had right after Mia's birth, I've been on medication. Well I didn't actually start it till about August 07 but I've been on it daily since and it's turned my life around. It took 6 months of hell before I gave in to medicine. Remember me? Homeopathic as much as possible?? lol Basically after having my gallbladder removed my stomach couldn't figure out how to process food so MONTHS of daily cramps and stomach problems followed me. This was my problem when pregnant with Mia, especially towards the end and I thought it was just pregnancy related. I would have tummy cramps so bad I could barely walk after Mia came and imagine running to the bathroom all day, nursing, and taking care of 3 others. It was horrible. The worst was the summer with Alexzandra's extensive Ball schedule and those games having us going to all those small towns. So finally I asked my Dr about it and he couldn't believe I'd put up with it that long. I found out that it's very common for a patient after gallbladder removal to be on meds for eternity. Nice to know eh?
So, a week ago was my last dosage. I'd called my Dr's nurse at the beginning of my "suspecting" and she said I had to quit. It's a Class C and I needed to get off it. I gulped but said "ok." I told Dave that day if I got pregnant this cycle I had to stop taking it. He wasn't happy because he knows how much I suffered but we both want our bean to grow and be healthy. So now I guess we just wait and see if they let me back on it. I'm hoping they can say maybe I can take it every other day or something. I can totally see now how addicting pharmaceutical drugs are for some people are after this experience. I just want to feel better!
The weekend was kind of an eye opener for Dave and I. We would say something and then realize by October THAT'S going to change! It was funny. This will be our first to be created early in the year and be born the same year. The biggest will be the bedroom arrangements. Dominic has been wanting bunk beds so Damien will be moving in by the end of the year with him. Then we realized by the end of the year we'll be buying Christmas gifts for 5! By the end of the year, we'll be trying to figure how to put 5 kids on one basket instead of 4. By the end of the year and before the holidays, we'll be broke! LOL!! But by 2009 we'll have another deduction on taxes! lol Then I normally laugh at people who start trying to figure names soon after they find out their pregnant however Dave and I were online doing just that this weekend. It's nice to see he's getting into this just as much as I am though. He has been great!!
So the fun part of this story? We've got a bet going. He's saying I've already lost because I announced it online and to one good friend of mine who will watch the kids during my appointments. We're going to see who holds out the longest on not telling anyone we know in real life. This shall be interesting. Let the games begin! lol
