Completely Freaked Out

I just said the other day I went to the dentist and said no to X-rays on myself since I was pregnant. Yesterday I stupidly wasn't even thinking and sat next to Dominic as he got his dental x-rays. It really hit me this morning that I probably shouldn't have even been in the room and now I'm freaked out. Dr. Google say the prime time for radiation to affect fetal cells is 8-13 week. Low birth weight, cancer, and mental retardation are not things I want to think about the next 28 weeks. I'm hoping someone can give me some positive pregnant X-ray stories......

I have been exposed to X-Ray's with every pregnancy for one reason or another. Most of the time I was holding a child getting an x-ray but at least twice I have had an X-ray done on me while pregnant. I think you should trust that your body will protect the wee baby and don't let stress ruin the rest of your pregnancy.
Good luck :0)

I don't have any personal experience with this, but I know others who have. Everything was A OK! Believe me, I know what it is to worry while pregnant....try not to if you can.

I did not have an xray during my pregnancy with Anna Sophia, but I had CT scan with the iodine dye on my chest. Far more radiation involved and I was 16 weeks pregnant. It was thought that I had a pulmonary embolism. Thankfully, I did not. Anna Sophia is healthy and almost 5 weeks old!

Thanks girls! I will trust that we'll be fine. I am still not sure why in the world I didn't think to get out of the room. I just wanted to be right there for Dominic because I know X-rays when I was little was always the frightening part!
