Time For A Little Whine

I'm hoping I can make it 6 more weeks with this little girl without her trying to rip through my belly or whatever she's apparently trying to do in there. The past few weeks on and off the whole right side of my stomach and back will get on and off stabbing pains some so bad that I can barely breathe. I don't know what in the world is going on but it didn't make a good weekend. Saturday I asked Dave to do yard work and it got so bad that I went outside and tried to go get him off the mower to come back in. I made it to the car trunk and burst into tears of excruciating pain since I could barely walk. He saw me and ran over to take me back in and after 2 hours resting on the bed the pain magically went away. Sunday morning again I was fine when I woke up but then after just a few hours it hit again and I was having to take short breaths just to not feel the stabbing pains in my side. This time it lasted all day AND I had to work in the church preschool room that morning with 12 non attentive 4 year olds. Yesterday I woke up, felt good and thought "crap I'd better take advantage of this!!!" I did 3 loads of laundry, several loads of dishes through the day, changed the sheets on the beds, cleaned a few closets of outgrown clothes then put in their new clothes (hand me downs), vacuumed out my minivan, and went to Sears and Lowes. I was fine the whole day. Today I feel fine so we'll see how the rest of the day goes.

In other news, this political campaign could not be any better. First we could possibly have a black President which is amazing that we've finally evolved this far. Then we have on the Republican side for VP, Sarah Palin who's a mom of 5, has a son with Down's, son in the military, and a 17 year old daughter who's pregnant. I am undecided on whether McCain or Obama would make a better president however McCain's choice of Palin has really shook things up a bit. She is the most down to Earth, normal candidate and I think I and many others could be swayed to vote for McCain now. Just the fact that she kept her precious little boy saying that she feels blessed that God chose them to raise a baby with Down Syndrome is a huge sway factor for me. Although there are a few things though that I don't agree with her on (Global Warming, Sex Ed) its just neat to see her running with McCain because she's just so real. Anyways I am addicted to this campaign, especially now. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. In a way I think McCain chose her out spite, he seemed awfully smirky when she came out announced as the VP Republican candidate. What do you think?

Hey, I had what sounds like the same kind of pain in my fourth pregnancy and it turned out to be a torn ligament or something like that, that was holding my uterus to my belly. The weight of the baby apparently was too much for my body!

I'm getting excited about the race too - and annoyed at the same time lol. I get on Cafemom a lot & there is so much... *stuff* being said about Palin being said that I spend the whole time I'm reading it either shaking my head or worse. I agree w/ you though, I think a big part of why he chose her is the fact that she's a a woman. In a way it's a smart idea, if it doesn't come back to bite him lol... We'll see. I need to do more reading though, because honestly I haven't looked at VP's on the issues. I know her stance on the most important one to me, but not on the ones you mentioned...

Btw, sounded like you had some nesting going on ;-)

could it be heartburn? Sometimes it shows up in weird places. I think you should see your doc right away rather than suffer!

Can you put a giant piece of paper on your fridge and encourage her to color there? maybe that's the wrong message though?? I don't know, you're the expert!!!

Ohhh, you poor thing! Wish I could take the kids off your hands!

ANd I have to agree about McCains choice for VP...that move was brilliant in nabbing/clinching all Hillary's supporters for him!
