First 44 days until school starts. Anyone else have a countdown on their calendar? lol A few family/friends have been getting on my nerves because they think my Nazi 8 pm bedtime even in the summer is just out of line. Someone back me up here. If I have to get up at 6:30am daily to prepare for the chaos that starts at 7 am with only 1 child that naps during the day, I think 8 am on the dot really is not being a Nazi at all. They are all asleep by 9 usually. I CHERISH that 2-3 hours ALONE before bedtime.

Second, I went to my GP today for my appointment (yearly physical for daycare) and he is sure that I will not die of a pulmonary embolism due to this mess on my right leg. lol Apparently spider, varicose veins, or like what I have where it all turns into a purple blob has nothing to do with DVT so that's reassuring. As soon as this little girl gets here he is getting me into radiology and they will fix me up. The tightness and pain will all be gone hopefully. Right now if the kids kick that leg in the picture below it feels like a huge bruise is being hit. Damien is starting to understand that ugly leg is mommy's owwie and he has to watch out for it. If I've been sitting for a long while (or sleeping) my leg is so tight when I walk, well it's almost impossible to walk. It takes a few minutes to get going. Ever heard the saying about "Get your blood a pumpin?" Pregnancy does not like my veins. I know when she comes all the vein swelling and pain will go away but the purple mess will not so I'm excited to get it fixed.

I hate that we haven't agreed on a name for her yet. I want to call her something! I know Dave would be ecstatic if I agreed on Gabriella. Her middle name will be Ilana, we both pretty much agree on that! She is really kicking up a storm though and still has not flipped. We'll be 25 weeks in just a few days. I have about 3 1/2 months left.

My dad has asked if we would go on a family vacation to KC Mo this month if I could manage. lol! I believe I would be fine if we go ahead and do it. He's wanting to do a few suites which would be great because I wouldn't get GRIEF from a hotel. Due to fire code restrictions most hotels we've stayed at will only allow 2 children in a room and want you to buy an extra room. Ever lied about how many kids you have for a cheap rate (raising hand here)lol Can you see sticking kids in an adjoining room with the possibility of escaping in the middle of the night? I can't so I lie.

This weekend is Damien's 3rd birthday so we're having a joint BBQ birthday party for Damien and Alexzandra since their birthdays are so close. Alex's kitchen skills will be put to the test in the next few days as we are making all the sides homemade. I can't believe Damien is 3 already. He has started saying a new word (bubbles) which is awesome and he's saying it on command. Hopefully by the time he starts school in August he'll have a few more words. Right now he is so into gesture speech (sorta like sign language I guess!) and can usually get people to understand him that way. We've been working on potty training but he's still a bit shy of the whole idea. He loves watching us all though!

I hope everyone else is enjoying their summer. So much to do in so little time. I have been so busy doing things around the house, basically organizing junk. It's also really starting to heat up here in Kansas so it's hard to stay out for long. The kids are enjoying our "cool tub" (hot tub no heat) alot of days. Damien for some reason will not get in the water this year, I'm not sure why. Baths are fine but the pool or sprinkler is not? Just being different I guess. If I'm not on before, I hope everyone has a great 4th of July!

Happy 4th! -- I like Gabriella! I think that it would fit well with the rest of the kids names!

8pm is still the bedtime here all summer long! I agree, if they are still getting up at 7am, them they go to bed at 8! We tried making it later at first, but they were still getting up at the same time and just being grumpy messes! I will completely back you up! LOL!

We still have an early bedtime. I don't want tired worn out kids that have to deal with 99 degree heat too. And I love the couple hours of peace we get.

Have a safe and happy 4th!!
